Absolutely. We believe that SAG-AFTRA professionals provide higher quality work, generally have more experience and often are more reliable, saving producers time and money in the studio.

Not much. The cheapest configuration would be to buy a computer microphone($10-$30) from an office or computer store and plug it into the mic input of the sound card on your computer. These microphones sound suprisingly good -- perfect for MP3 auditions. Some now even come as headphone/microphone combinations. For software, we recommend a free recording and editing program called Audacity that works on both Windows and Mac computers. You can download it at audacity.sourceforge.net . The Audacity website has tutorials, online help, recording tips and more. Click here for a short tutorial.
Once you get the hang of digital editing, it's very easy. Here is a short editing tutorial, offering some step-by step, beginner instruction. Or you can always go to a studio and have an engineer edit your demos into small (15-30 second) clips that demonstrate your different vocal styles. Some studios offer discounted rates to voiceover professionals.
Enter as many Vocal Style categories as you like, the more categories you post in, the more likely your are to be found in a search. Note that only native speakers are eligible to enter the Foreign Language category. Our standard for audio files is MP3-mono or stereo - 128Kb, and we suggest limiting clips to 15-30 seconds. You can change your material at any time by going to the Talent Login page. If one of your clips doesn't match its category, we reserve the right to remove it. You are welcome to upload another at any time that is better suited for that category. We don't anticipate having to do this much, however. It will reflect best on everyone if these clips deliver what they promise.
When you are selected to participate in an audition, you will receive a script by email. Record the script as an MP3, and send it back as quickly as possible. The email we send you will contain a link for uploading your audition, as well as a link for declining the audition if you have a conflict. Follow the link to the Talent Upload page. At the box called Audition Name, browse for your audition file on your computer and click open. That's all there is to it. If you get the job, the audition requester will call you directly.
You can change information or demo material whenever you like. All performers are responsible for making sure their information is current. Simply go to the Talent Login page and upload the new information. You can also delete old demos and upload new ones.
